more matt baldwin action

Matt Baldwin, our resident genius on the six string, has some exciting performances booked over the next month in beautiful Northern California:

First up is an appearance on Larry Kelp's radio show this Wednesday, April 30, at 10pm on 94.1 KPFA...

Then, on May 10, at a very civilized 4pm, Matt will let loose a live acoustic set at the Henry Miller Gallery in Big Sur, as part of the Folk-Yeah Presents festival...

And then, not to be missed, he'll be performing May 26 with his full band at the haunted Brookdale Lodge in the Santa Cruz Mountains, opening for the mighty Dead Meadow.

Check him out if you can - his fingers never disappoint.

Matt's Paths of Ignition (pictured) is available now.

klaus dinger, r.i.p.

We at American Dust were saddened to hear today of the death of Klaus Dinger, the drumming genius behind early Kraftwerk and Neu! His pioneering percussion helped define the Krautrock sound and in so doing made music listeners the world over happier, more productive people. Rest in peace.

Our own Matt Baldwin included a terrific Neu! cover on his recent Paths of Ignition album. In Dinger's memory we offer it here for all who will listen:
