department of eagles in the news

Seems like Department of Eagles are everywhere these days: on Pitchfork TV, on Conan O'Brien, in the blogosphere. Sunday they even showed up in the friggin' New York Times! Holy Bejesus, good for them.

What's the occasion? Why, the band's terrific new album, In Ear Park, is out tomorrow on 4AD! To celebrate the release, they play Brooklyn's Bell House that very eve, and Wednesday they perform alongside Paul Simon and literary lights like Ira Glass at The Revenge of the Bookeaters night at New York's Town Hall.

Department of Eagles' awesome debut, The Cold Nose, is available now. Here's what The New York Times has to say about it: "A mixture of sampled collages, thoughtful pop songs and goofy jokes." Amen.
